RichmondshireThe District of Richmondshire lies in the top west corner of North Yorkshire. Covering 509 square miles, it is actually larger than some English counties but is only home to around 50,000 people making it the least populated District Council in the country. In fact, you're statistically more likely to come across a Sheep in the Yorkshire Dales than a person!
