Directions
Rail
Arriving by rail at Leeds Station, once you are through the ticket barriers go straight ahead through the station, leaving WHSmith and Marks and Spencer Simply Food to your right. Go through the doors and turn immediately left, walking past the bus stops, until you come to a pelican crossing on your right. Cross the first crossing and turn right down the road (going against the oncoming traffic). Stay on the right hand side, walking under the railway arches. Take the second right, after the newsagents, into Dark Neville Street.
There are City Inn signs at this point. Walk along Dark Neville Street and over the metal bridge, which spans the River Aire and turn left. You will exit into the plaza and see City Inn diagonally to your right.
For those wishing to take the "open air" route, carry on past Dark Neville Street and turn immediately right at the pedestrian crossing down "Little Neville Street" and walk over the new bridge with the City Inn facing you.
The station is a relaxed 10 - 12 minute walk, a brisk and purposeful 7 minutes or a determined and pushing it 5 minutes.
Road
From M1 Northbound
- The M1 Junction 43 signs need to be followed carefully
- Slight right at M621 (signs for Leeds (Centre)/M621)
- At junction 3, exit toward Holbeck
- Merge onto A653/Dewsbury Road Continue to follow A653
- Turn left at A653/Dewsbury Road Continue to follow A653
- Continue onto Neville Street
- Take the first left at the lights onto Water Lane
- Take the second right onto Wharf Approach and follow this road over the canal bridge, following the road around to the right and continue on until you come to the turning square and front of the hotel on your right
Please note the hotel has very limited on-site parking, which is allocated on a first come, first serve basis. In addition to agreements with two local NCP car parks nearby.
From M62 Eastbound
- Head East on M62
- At Junction 27 exit onto M621
- At junction 3, exit toward Holbeck

Take ticket a from the machine as normal. Obtain a validation ticket from City Inn reception or Guest services desk and then when back at the NCP use your original ticket first by placing the ticket in the ticket machine and directly after place your validation ticket in the ticket machine (the machine will swallow the validation ticket). Your price will automatically be amended. Your original ticket will then return and this is what you use to exit.
Air
Leeds is served by Leeds Bradford International airport, with quick and frequent transport services to Central Leeds. The approximate travelling time to the airport is 30 minutes from the hotel.
