Veritau is a recently formed company, jointly owned by North Yorkshire County Council and the City of York Council. The company provides internal audit, counter fraud and information governance related services to the two Councils and a number of other public sector clients.

This is an excellent opportunity to train as a public sector counter fraud specialist. As part of the role you will undertake a training programme which is designed to lead to you gaining the Professionalism in Security (PinS) and Cipfa Certificate in Investigative Practice qualifications. Reporting to the Fraud Team Leader you will assist in the investigation of suspected fraud cases across a range of public sector clients.

The package includes a final salary pension scheme, performance related pay, generous leave entitlement, flexible working arrangements, supported study leave and a mentoring scheme.

You should hold a good degree although final year students may also apply. You should be outgoing, enthusiastic and self-motivated, be willing to work with others in a team environment and have good interpersonal skills.

The post will be based at our York office. The work will involve travel within North Yorkshire and York.
