Sheffield Hallam Careers and Employment Service are currently running a number of internship schemes, funded by Yorkshire Forward and HEFCE. Working with local employers, we are offering twelve week placements for graduates of 2008 and 2009, designed to develop and enhance your employability. These schemes offer you the opportunity to gain valuable work experience to help in your chosen career path. All interns are paid £300 per week for the duration of the scheme. | Job details: | Sheffield Hallam University is offering this internship with Montgomery Leisure Services Ltd: Please note this internship will start on 17th May 2010. An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Event Management team for the delivery of a major sport and social event - The British Transplant Games 2010. This is a multisport and social event, taking place in August 2010, for recipients of a life saving organ transplant. MLS will manage this event from start to finish. For more information about the event visit www.transplantsport.org.uk The Event Managers are seeking an energetic and committed individual to work closely with the Event team to work on and deliver elements of the Games to ensure a successful event. Areas of working include: volunteer management, data and administration co-ordination, liaison with Team Managers and Sports Manager, PR and Marketing and logistics. You need to : - be well organised - be a good communicator - be able to work as part of a team, acting professionally at all times. - have a desire to take on a new and exciting role and deliver it to a high professional standard. - be able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure - be able to use your initiative as well as following instructions. Ideally you would have carried out a similar role, have experience of managing people, be studying sport, management or other related course. This is not essential. You need to have good IT skills in MS Office and will be trained to use the project’s database. Strictly no agencies. |
