Also, don’t miss out on all the spring and summer careers events going on in the regions Universities and find out how you could Twitter your way to a new job!

In this newsletter:

Question Time: Sheffield

Next Wednesday we will be holding our first ever question time event. It's an opportunity for you to ask the experts anything you like from the current recruitment market to how to get into a particular job or industry. Meet the panel below and make sure you register online for this unique opportunity.

Meet the Panel

Our panel is made up of some of Sheffield's key figures including CreativeSheffield's Brendan Moffett and Ben Sequera, director of the ProSheffield network. Read the profiles below to find out exactly who the panel are, what you can ask and exactly why question time is an event not to be missed!

The Sheffield Expert

Brendan Moffett

Creativesheffield

Director - Strategic Marketing

Brendan is a brand marketer with extensive top level experience. He has worked for some of the world's leading Marketing Services Agencies, such as WPP, working with global brands ranging from Guinness to General Motors. He had 2 successful spells with media giant EMAP in a variety of roles, at the sharp end of dynamic markets in broadcast, publishing and b2b.

He joined Creativesheffield in April in a dream role, to market his home city. Much of his work involves partnerships with key city stakeholders, ensuring that the city's brand proposition is coherent.

Ask Brendan about his successful career in Marketing, his current role with Creativesheffield and the regeneration of the City and what that means for you.

Prior to his role at Pro Sheffield, Ben has 11 years of recruitment experience under his belt. He became national top fee earner at 25 years old with Michael Page in London before returning to his hometown of Sheffield and becoming a director with local firm Sewell Moorhouse.

Ask Ben about the importance of networking, what it's really like to work in recruitment and what Sheffield has to offer.

The Marketing Guru

Kobi Thompson
